Celebrating Upclying

Turn Lyme Green was delighted to co-host with Shute Literary Festival an event celebrating the joy and importance of upcycling, repair and reuse. Lisa Clifford, film maker, shared her film, Givery Takery, highlighting the project in Hastings where a wide range of recycling experiences. A memorable and humourous film on an important subject. Lyme’s own projects were also featured.. the Repair Cafe explained by organiser Lorraine Vandersyde and Turn Lyme Green’s Boomerang Bag project described by co-ordinator Liz Davis. Also, everyone was encouraged to sign up to Freecycle to find local groups. freecycle.org And Facebook Marketplace is also an outlet to give away items which need a new home to avoid going to landfill.
