We all want to reduce our carbon footprint and environmental impact, and also save money on our bills. But there is so much confusing information out there, it is difficult to know where to start and it can feel like everyone is trying to sell you something. Now’s the time to sort out your energy inefficient house and install a heat pump, solar panels or a battery. For impartial advice on what works and how to do it, visit a home and talk to someone who has improved their home. Dorset Greener Homes, organised by Dorset Climate Action Network, will open on two weekends in October, and some of them are open all year by appointment. There are four homes open in Lyme Regis and one in Charmouth. You will need to book.
