Join us for a MIDWEEK BEACH CLEAN next Thursday September 4 from 10-1130. Meet as usual at the RNLI shop at the Cobb, armed with your own bucket if you have one. Litter pickers and gloves provided. A free hot drink or ice cream from Baboo for all pickers.

Get inspired by visiting greener homes opening locally across two weekends in September. Homes are open in Lyme and Charmouth on September 20 and 21 plus others in the local area at other times. More detailed information here. Organised by Dorset Climate Action Network, supported by TLG.

Seeds and Diversity
Ellen Rignell from Winnow Farm grows organic seed to protect and grow the biodiversity that we have left today. She tells us, ‘local seeds are genetically primed to grow in your local climate’. She will demonstrate how easy it is to save your own tomato seeds.

UPCYCLING AND REPAIR
Thursday September 25
5-6.30pm Driftwood Cafe, Baptist Church, top of Broad St,Lyme Regis
A short film ‘ Givery Takery’ followed by discussion with the film maker, Lisa Clifford, about her querky upcycling project in Hastings, together with leaders of two local recycling projects - Lorraine Vandersyde, from Lyme Regis Repair Cafe, and Liz Davis, coordinator of TLG’s Boomerang Bags. This event is co-hosted by Shute Festival with Turn Lyme Green. It is FREE but booking required here. Refreshments available.

Sunday September 28 - World Rivers Day - Out on the Lim 11am - 1pm
Bookings are open for a walk along the River Lim to meet the monitors and some of the wildlife. Meet at Goslings Bridge at the bottom of Hill Road/junction with Mill Green. All welcome, free to attend.

Tuesday November 18 - The Dorset Bee. 7pm. Driftwood Cafe, Baptist Church, Lyme Regis. FREE. Refreshments available.
Helen Bolter-Griffith will talk about solitary bees, The Bee Hotel project and flowers for bees.

SHUTE FESTIVAL September 25-29 Includes talks, walks and outdoor events on environmental themes. Unless stated in the programme, most are scheduled at the Peek Chapel, next to the Alexandra Hotel in Lyme.
