We would love to welcome all supporters for our annual gathering - a chance to chat, meet other supporters and catch up on all of our activties and campaigns - including River Lim Action, our Seed Swop, the Recycle Sewing Group’s boomerang bags, litter picks and talks. We hope to see you there!

We will start festivities at 7pm. TLG will provide drinks and, if you are able, we will welcome sharing plates of nibbles - sweet or savoury; your choice.

We look forward to 2025. With your support and enthusiasm, we will continue to work together for a better environment for our community and visitors.

To help us plan the evening, an rsvp would be helpful. But do know you are welcome even with a last minute decision!

‘QUARRIES TO NATURE RESERVES’

Andy Littler is a geologist, chartered engineer and quarry manager with a passion for natural history. He has spent 40 years pioneering the restoration of quarries to biodiverse habitats. He wrote the first Quarry Biodiversity Action Plans in the UK and runs courses for quarry professionals on the subject.

There are 2000 active and worked-out quarries across the UK, representing a huge opportunity to create specialist habitats where native flora and fauna can thrive.

Andy lives in Charmouth and is currently working on quarry restoration projects in Dorset along Puddletown Rd, Wareham and at Chard.

SEED SAVERS GET BACK TO WORK

Our Annual Seed Swap is coming up - Saturday 1st March is the date for your diaries. In preparation, Suzy Gallina is gathering her team to strip seeds, sort them, put them into packets and label them for the big day of the swap.
Meetings are held on Tuesday afternoons 2-4pm . Would you like to join in with these very enjoyable sessions where tea and cake is always provided? New team members are being recruited.
